The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property in Bwari and its environs.

This was highlighted by the Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the 2024 Public Enlightenment Programme on Security, themed “Catch Them Young Security Initiative,” held at the JAMB Auditorium on Saturday.

Organized by the Bwari Division of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), the event aimed to raise security awareness among secondary school students. Prof. Oloyede, represented by Mr. Clement Ojo, expressed optimism that the initiative would instill security consciousness in the younger generation, emphasizing the need for collaboration between JAMB and security agencies to maintain a safe environment.

Speakers at the event, including DCN John Owen, Divisional Chairman of the PCRC, and CSP Baba Yola, Bwari Divisional Police Officer (represented by DSP Alfred Abah), urged students to embrace positive values and avoid criminal activities. Additional presentations addressed the psychological factors behind juvenile delinquency and the impact of social media on youth behavior.
