Teach For Nigeria held the 2024 edition of its Incubation Hub pitch competition, reaffirming its dedication to empowering alumni to transform their “Be The Change” Projects (BTCP) into sustainable social enterprises addressing educational and community challenges.

After three months of enterprise development training, 10 innovators pitched their solutions, competing for seed grants to scale their initiatives.

Nwabuike Odike Collins’ Waste to Design emerged as the overall winner, receiving a N2 million grant. Joy Ifeanyi’s Waste to Desks took the first runner-up spot with N1 million, while Babajide Ajayi’s The Warriors’ Project secured N500,000 as the second runner-up. The initiatives tackle issues such as plastic waste, sickle cell support, and school infrastructure needs.

The competition also featured projects like Project MEND, empowering women with vocational skills, and DELIC, which promotes STEAM education in underserved communities. Teach For Nigeria thanked Oando Foundation for its continuous support since the launch of the Incubation Hub in 2020, emphasizing the partnership’s role in fostering impactful innovations.

Teach For Nigeria, a non-profit organization mobilizing leaders to advance education in marginalized communities, has recruited over 2,463 fellows and impacted more than 160,000 students across Nigeria.
