First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has partnered with EStars to launch an esports education platform in Nigerian schools, targeting students aged 7 to 14. The initiative aims to equip students with digital skills through gaming while fostering teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

The platform, launched on July 16, includes tools for tournament management, team collaboration, and resources to integrate esports into school curricula. It also provides coaching and training materials to help students develop esports skills and explore career opportunities in the growing industry.

Speaking on the initiative, FCMB’s Managing Director, Mrs. Yemisi Edun, described it as an innovative way to enhance students’ learning experience. She said, “This platform allows schools to harness the power of play to cultivate a love for learning.”

EStars’ founder, Mags Byrne, emphasized the goal of empowering young Nigerians with knowledge and skills for the esports industry and beyond.

The partnership aligns with FCMB’s commitment to education and youth development and aims to bridge the gap between traditional education and the burgeoning esports industry.
