The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Benin, will launch the second edition of the African Forum on Research and Innovation (FARI 2025) on Friday, November 22, 2024, in Cotonou, Benin.

The launch will be attended by Prof. Eléonore Yayi Ladekan, Benin’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology; and Prof. Fatou Sow Sarr, ECOWAS Commissioner for Human Development and Social Affairs.

FARI, ECOWAS’s premier forum on science, technology, and innovation, aims to promote regional inventions and startups. The initiative aligns with the organization’s policy goals of advancing research and innovation within the West African region.
