The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will flag off six major projects this week, including four new roads, staff quarters for the Nigerian Law School, and an office complex for the Body of Benchers. His spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, adding that brand-new vehicles will also be distributed to security agencies to enhance their operations.

The projects include the construction of the Kabulsa-Takushara and Kabusa-Ketti access roads, access road to the EFCC Academy site in Giri, and a 15km road from A2 Junction Abuja-Lokoja Road to Pia in Kwali Area Council. The minister will also oversee the design and construction of 10 staff quarters for the Nigerian Law School in Bwari Area Council.

Wike has recently inspected over 10 project sites, including the Saburi-Dei Dei road, the Dutse-Usuma Dam road, and the Kwaita/Yebu road reconstruction in Kwali Area Council. Other ongoing works include access roads to the Abuja Court of Appeal and Judges Quarters, alongside the construction of housing units and internal roads for the judiciary in Katampe District.

The minister emphasized his commitment to infrastructure development in the FCT, promising that the new initiatives will address critical gaps and improve living standards across Abuja and surrounding satellite towns.
