The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, has celebrated the deployment of its 117 pioneer graduates to various National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camps across the country. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the university, which has rapidly grown since its establishment.

Speaking on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrahman Salawu, highlighted the university’s remarkable progress over the past four years. He noted that the institution has expanded its academic offerings from 11 to 56 programmes, covering fields such as Medicine, Nursing, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Computing, and Law. Salawu emphasized the university’s commitment to producing graduates equipped to take on leadership roles in various sectors.

The VC further revealed that 14 of the pioneer graduates achieved first-class honors, attributing their success to the availability of adequate facilities and a conducive learning environment. He added that CUSTECH is dedicated to contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth by preparing students with the skills needed to excel in cutting-edge fields.

CUSTECH also expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, for his unwavering support and dedication to education. The university acknowledged the governor’s focus on creating opportunities for institutions like CUSTECH to thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.
