The Iyalode Theresa Laduntan Oyekanmi Foundation has honored two outstanding graduates in Community Health Nursing and Public Health Nursing from the Nursing Education Department, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, in recognition of their academic excellence.

The foundation, dedicated to empowering, inspiring, and uplifting women, children, and indigent individuals, presented the awards at the School of Nursing Hall, UCH, Ibadan.

One of the recipients, Praise Matthew, a graduate of Community Health Nursing, expressed gratitude for the recognition.

“I sincerely appreciate the generosity of the foundation and pray that God continues to bless them,” she said.

Commitment to Maternal Health

As part of its 2025 International Women’s Day commemoration, the foundation supported expectant mothers by distributing essential maternal care items during an antenatal clinic at Idi-Ogungun Primary Health Centre, Agodi, Ibadan.

Mrs. Sade Adebayo, daughter of the late Iyalode Oyekanmi, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to maternal health.

“Our foundation recognizes the importance of maternal health and the challenges that come with it,” she said.

“This is why we have put together these care packages, containing essential items, to support you and your unborn babies. These donations are more than just material goods; they represent our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. We believe every woman deserves access to quality healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.”
