Tech experts urge beneficiaries of GetBundi’s free coding courses to maximise opportunity
GetBundi Education Foundation has kicked off the first edition of its free coding training for 500 African women, with experts in the technology sector admonishing beneficiaries to take the training seriously and make the best out of it.
The experts, who spoke during the opening ceremony of the free online coding courses tagged TechSis 2023, which held virtually on June 1, said the training has the potential to bridge the gender gap in the male-dominated tech industry, give women and girls a better deal, and also prepare them to assume their rightful place at the heights of the digital economy.

The Federal Government has banned underage children from participating in the National Common Entrance Examination for admission into the Unity Schools across the country.
The government has accordingly directed the National Examination Council (NECO) to put strict measures in place to prevent underage persons from registering for the examination, including making birth certificates compulsory as registration requirements.

Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr David Adejo on Saturday in Abuja lamented the rate at which parents made their underage children sit for National Common Entrance Examination.
“Parents are killing these underage children by allowing them to write the National Common Entrance Examination into Federal Government Colleges,’’ he said.

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has declared a state of emergency on basic and post-basic education in the state.
