Amaechi Okolo, a parent whose child recently gained admission into one of the colleges, said the initiative would not only ease financial burdens but also help reduce the rising number of out-of-school children. Another parent, Obi Anazodo, praised the decision but urged strict monitoring to ensure principals and school management adhere to the tuition-free directive. He warned that while governments may conceive good policies, poor implementation often undermines them. Anazodo also appealed for merit-based admission processes and called on students to maintain good conduct in order not to derail the objectives of both government and parents.
