The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to dedicate 20 days to showcase the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within the territory.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike disclosed this on Tuesday during the inauguration of the newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja. He explained that the unveiling will begin immediately after President Tinubu returns from a short break, following the 20 days of inauguration of completed and new projects across the FCT.

“The unveiling of the projects executed by Tinubu’s administration in the education sector will last for 20 days,” Wike said, adding that the move is aimed at demonstrating the government’s commitment to education alongside its focus on infrastructure development.

According to the minister, the ongoing inauguration of projects across the FCT is “unprecedented,” reflecting President Tinubu’s determination to complete abandoned projects under his Renewed Hope Agenda. “I challenge critics to name any previous administration that has matched the current pace of transformation under Tinubu’s leadership. If there is any administration since the creation of the Federal Capital Territory that has done more than what we are doing, let them speak up now,” he stated.

Wike noted that several of the projects being commissioned were abandoned as far back as 2009 due to lack of funding, but the current administration has revived them as part of its development blueprint.

FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud, also lauded the Wuye engineering infrastructure project as proof of the government’s dedication to improving lives through sustainable urban development. “With roads being dualised, long-abandoned sites completed, and new facilities springing up across satellite towns, Wike’s message is very clear: the FCT is working again under purposeful and visionary leadership,” she said.

The 20-day exhibition of education sector projects is expected to spotlight the Tinubu administration’s investment in school infrastructure, teacher welfare, and access to quality learning across the FCT.
