Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Professor Lawal Bilbis, has dispelled rumours on social media of bandits’ attack on the University’s permanent campus on Monday evening.

42 Nigerians bag distinction as Nexford University graduates 622

Nexford University, an online learning institution based in America has produced a new set of 622 graduands, who are Nigerians and out of whom 42 bagged distinction.

The Community Development Manager of the university, Sally Okogho, made this announcement at the 2023 school’s graduation ceremony held in Lagos last week with the former Minister of Education, Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili, who gave a keynote address. Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State, have staged a protest against the hike in school fees.

The students, who stormed the varsity premises began the protest early Tuesday morning carrying placards reading “When I dey pay 20k, I dey borrow money. President Julius Bio has collected a $100 million loan to provide vital support to send 1,000 Sierra Leonean graduates to the United States and Canada to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), MBA, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) courses.
