Public and private primary and secondary schools in Ogun State are poised to resume academic activities today, April 29, 2024, following an extended break. In a press release issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, parents and guardians are urged to ensure their children are prepared for the resumption, emphasizing that academic work will commence immediately upon return.

The commissioner also extended best wishes for a successful new school year to all teachers, learners, and non-academic staff as they embark on this phase of the academic calendar. This resumption aligns with the schedule observed by primary and secondary schools in neighbouring Lagos State, which commenced the 2023/2024 Third Term Academic Session on Monday, April 22, 2024.

As students and educators in Ogun State return to classrooms, there is a collective anticipation for a productive and enriching academic term ahead. With preparations in place and guidance from education authorities, stakeholders are hopeful for a smooth transition into the new school year, fostering an environment conducive to teaching, learning, and personal growth.
