Prof. Wahab Egbewole, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, announced the university’s support for the Department of Performing Arts to establish a film village.

He made this pledge while opening the final year project performance titled “Agudua” at the Performing Arts Theatre on Tuesday.

Egbewole stated that the film village would enhance the department’s global presence and boost the university’s internally generated revenue (IGR). He congratulated the department’s lecturers and students for their dedication to the project since 1985, expressing hope that future performances would attract paying audiences.
