The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, on Tuesday organized a solidarity march in Abuja to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.

NANS President, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, addressed journalists, urging the Federal Government to enhance security across campuses nationwide to ensure student safety.

Emonefe acknowledged Nigeria’s progress since independence but stressed the need for continued efforts in areas like security and education. He also praised the Tinubu administration for initiatives like the student loan scheme and the provision of CNG buses to ease transportation for students.

Emphasizing patriotism, Emonefe encouraged students to support the nation’s leaders while constructively criticizing policies that need improvement, affirming the commitment of Nigerian students to the country’s growth and stability.
