The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has applauded the appointment of Hon. Ayo Olawande Wisdom as the new Minister for Youth Development.

In a statement on Wednesday, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde, President of the NANS Senate, expressed optimism that Olawande’s leadership would empower Nigerian youth through the opportunities presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Comrade Akinteye commended Olawande’s track record, highlighting his previous success as Minister of State for Youth Development and his ability to connect with and inspire the younger generation. He called on the new minister to focus on policies that provide Nigerian youth with tools for success, from entrepreneurship to education and civic engagement, and to ensure inclusivity across all regions.

NANS emphasized the critical role Olawande now plays in shaping the future of Nigeria’s youth and urged him to champion initiatives that foster innovation, create jobs, and offer platforms for young Nigerians to showcase their leadership potential. The association expressed full support for Olawande as he embarks on this new chapter of leadership.
