At the launch event of the nationwide My-G entertainment tour in Lagos, Morakinyo Olaolu, President of the Students Union Government (SUG) at Yaba College of Technology, praised Globacom’s My-G data offering as a valuable contribution to youth development, noting, “This is a good initiative for youth development. We thank Glo for My-G, which is for us the Youth.” The My-G package, introduced by Globacom, aims to provide affordable and accessible data tailored to the entertainment and academic needs of young Nigerians.

Echoing Olaolu’s sentiments, Adebobola Ayomide, SUG President of Lagos State University, highlighted the My-G package’s benefits for students’ online activity in both academic and social realms. “My-G will help the youth to stay more active online,” he said. He encouraged Globacom to introduce more student-focused packages that could enhance campus life. Similarly, Adekanye Ibukunoluwa, representing the University of Lagos SUG, appreciated Glo for considering youth needs, especially for academic research, social media, and entertainment. “We hope Glo will start bringing more activities to the campus so students can benefit from them regularly,” he added.

Globacom’s Director of Creativity, Chuka Obi, introduced My-G as a unique, budget-friendly data bundle granting access to popular platforms like WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, and GloTV without significant data costs. Obi also unveiled the reloaded Berekete 10X plan, which offers customers ten times the recharge value, double data, and enhanced call benefits. He emphasized that Glo’s services, including the Glo Café app, are designed to simplify users’ access to data purchases, recharges, and digital services, further supporting students and young people across Nigeria.
