Wageningen University in the Netherlands has announced the launch of its Africa Scholarship Program, offering full financial support to African students seeking to pursue master’s degrees.

This scholarship, designed to cover all essential expenses including tuition, living costs, and relocation, aims to empower African students with skills to promote sustainable growth and development in their home countries.

The program, a collaborative effort with the University Fund Wageningen, is tailored to attract talented African students to the university’s research-oriented environment, which integrates natural and social sciences to address global challenges in sustainability, agriculture, and development.

By providing comprehensive funding, including travel, monthly living stipends, health insurance, and visa expenses, the scholarship allows recipients to fully immerse themselves in academic pursuits and participate in a European seminar, further expanding their learning experience.

To qualify, applicants must hold citizenship in an African country, apply for and secure unconditional admission to a master’s program at Wageningen University, and rank in the top 5% of their undergraduate class.

The application process involves several stages, beginning with a master’s program application by February 1, 2025, and advancing to assignments, interviews, and final decisions on May 8, 2025. The program aims to foster academic talent and support research that creates a lasting impact, both in Africa and globally.
