The Governing Council of the University of Abuja has appointed Mrs. Islamiya Abdulraheem as the acting registrar, effective November 12, 2024. The decision was reached during the council’s 71st Extraordinary meeting held on November 5.

Before this appointment, Mrs. Abdulraheem served as Deputy Registrar for both the Vice Chancellor’s Office and Establishment. She will succeed Malam Yahaya Mohammed, who is completing a five-year tenure as registrar. The announcement was confirmed in a statement by Dr. Habib Yakoo, the university’s Acting Director of Information and University Relations.
