Access ARM Pensions has expanded its flagship corporate social responsibility initiative, Shape Your Future, to 100 schools across Nigeria, reaffirming its commitment to fostering financial literacy among young Nigerians.

Now in its second year, the program equips primary and secondary school students with essential financial management skills to promote long-term financial independence.

Speaking on the initiative, Shape Your Future project lead, Oluchi Maduwuba, described it as a transformative tool for empowering the next generation.

“The program has grown immensely since its launch. Last year’s success in 37 schools inspired us to expand to 100 schools nationwide in 2024, reaching students across all six geopolitical zones and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds,” Maduwuba stated.

The sessions, led by Access ARM Pensions staff, focus on practical topics such as saving, budgeting, financial planning, and understanding income and expenses. The interactive and engaging curriculum simplifies complex financial concepts for young learners.

“Feedback from students and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive. Students are now grasping the importance of budgeting and saving, providing them with tools to shape their daily lives and future aspirations,” Maduwuba added.

Access ARM Pensions plans to make Shape Your Future an annual initiative, building on its success to empower more students each year.

“Our vision is to foster a generation that values financial responsibility, equipping young minds with the knowledge they need for a secure financial future,” Maduwuba emphasized.
