Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, on Monday donated an 18-seater bus to the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara. The presentation, which took place during a campus visit, was met with thunderous applause from students and staff. The senator described the donation as “only the beginning” of a series of planned interventions aimed at uplifting the institution and its students.

The request for the bus was originally made by a former SUG President, and its eventual delivery was a fulfillment of that long-standing need. Senator Dafinone’s visit, however, extended far beyond a symbolic handover. What began as a formal donation turned into an interactive session, where students had the opportunity to engage the senator on matters of development, leadership, and federal presence on campus.
