The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has begun unscheduled monitoring visits across the state’s four divisions to improve teaching and learning outcomes in public secondary schools.

TESCOM Chairman, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, disclosed this during visits to Oke-Ẹri Comprehensive High School and Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School in Ijebu North East, as well as Community Comprehensive High School, Orita J4, in Ijebu East Local Government Area. He highlighted that the commission has implemented several initiatives to reposition the state’s teaching workforce for optimal performance and higher educational standards.

Represented by Full-Time Commissioner I, Hon. Adeola Akintande, Sanyaolu emphasised that teachers’ dedication and adherence to professional standards—including punctuality and proper dressing—would positively impact students’ academic performance and the overall quality of education in Ogun State.

The Chairman also commended staff in the visited schools for demonstrating responsibility and compliance with TESCOM policies, urging them to sustain high professional standards.

School officials welcomed the initiative. The Principal of Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School, Mrs. Lateefat Adesoga, and the Vice Principal of Oke-Ẹri Comprehensive High School, Mr. Adebayo Mafe, praised TESCOM’s monitoring exercise and assured continued commitment to effective service delivery.

The TESCOM team also visited Ahmadiyya Comprehensive High School, Oni, and Ilushin Grammar School in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area as part of the ongoing statewide exercise.
