February 4, 2026 Pinky and the Brain School, Dutse Abuja, was a burst of nostalgia and laughter today as students and teachers turned back the clock for the school’s much-anticipated Old School Day celebration.

The event, which kicked off at exactly 8:00 a.m., transformed the school premises into a lively throwback scene, with both learners and staff dressed in classic old-school fashion. From vintage outfits and retro hairstyles to playful accessories, the atmosphere felt like a walk straight into the past—only louder, funnier, and full of youthful energy.The day featured a rich lineup of old school games, songs, storytelling, and traditional dances, keeping the audience entertained from start to finish. Students were seen hopping, clapping, singing along, and laughing as they participated in games many had only heard about from stories or seen in pictures.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Christopher, a teacher on Primary (National Youth Service Corps) assignment, shared his thoughts with Crystal Education:“I love the way they dressed in those days. In the future, this our generation’s dressing will also pass for an old school,” he said,

Students were equally thrilled by the experience. One student, still catching their breath after participating in the games and dances, said in an interview:“It is really a privilege to see, play, and participate in the old school games, dance, and songs. It was a great fun.”Beyond the fun and laughter, the event served as a creative way to connect younger generations with cultural history, showing that learning can be exciting, expressive, and memorable.
