The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, has convened the inaugural Renewed Hope Conversations at the University of Abuja, bringing together top government officials and over 1,000 students in a youth-focused policy engagement session.

The forum was designed to deepen youth participation in governance by providing direct access to policymakers under the Tinubu administration. Discussions centred on key national issues including education reform, job creation, entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and youth inclusion in decision-making processes.

Students actively engaged government representatives, raising questions, sharing concerns, and proposing solutions on Nigeria’s development trajectory. Organisers described the atmosphere as open, interactive, and responsive, with emphasis on practical policy dialogue.

The government delegation included the Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa; Minister of Art and Culture, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Ahmadu; and Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs, Tope Fasua.

Also in attendance were the Managing Director of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, Akintunde Sawyerr; Managing Director of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, Uzoma Nwagba; Director-General of NACA, Dr Temitope Ilori; Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye; and DG of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi.

As part of the engagement, participating students received laptops, mobile phones, and power banks in recognition of their involvement.

Organisers said the initiative will be expanded to other campuses across the country in subsequent editions, with the aim of sustaining youth-government dialogue and strengthening policy inclusion.
