Teachers across Nigeria have staged coordinated demonstrations to draw attention to the growing security challenges facing schools and educational communities nationwide.

The protests, organized by the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), were prompted by recent incidents of kidnappings, attacks on schools, and threats to the safety of teachers and learners in several parts of the country.
