The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and announced the date for the resit examination for eligible candidates.
The examination body disclosed that candidates who participated in the examination can now access their results through NECO’s official channels.
NECO also announced that candidates who need to retake specific subjects will have the opportunity to do so during the scheduled resit examination, aimed at giving them another chance to meet the requirements for progression to the next level of education.
According to the council, the resit examination will be conducted on the approved date in designated centres across the country, with detailed guidelines to be communicated to schools and candidates.
The examination body urged school administrators, parents and candidates to adhere to all instructions regarding result checking and registration for the resit exercise.
NECO reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the credibility, transparency and integrity of its examinations through improved assessment processes and the deployment of technology.
The council also advised candidates to obtain information only from its official platforms and warned the public against fraudulent websites and individuals claiming to offer assistance with results or examination registration.
The release of the BECE results marks another milestone in NECO’s efforts to provide credible and efficient assessment for students completing their basic education.
