The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has warned contractors handling the National Library of Nigeria project to complete and deliver the facility as scheduled or risk facing sanctions.
Alausa issued the warning while stressing the Federal Government’s commitment to completing critical education infrastructure across the country.
The minister said contractors must take their responsibilities seriously and ensure that the project meets the required standards and timelines.
He emphasised that the National Library remains an important national educational asset that will support research, learning, knowledge development and access to information for Nigerians.
The warning comes as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to address delays in major education projects and ensure that public funds invested in infrastructure deliver the expected value.
