Organisers of InterswitchSPAK, one of Nigeria’s foremost national science competitions, say the initiative is continuing to create pathways for students to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Now in its eighth edition, the competition remains focused on identifying, nurturing, and rewarding outstanding Year 11 (SS2) students across the country who demonstrate strong passion and potential in STEM fields.

With registration currently ongoing, this year’s edition introduces a significant change aimed at widening participation. Students can now be registered not only through their schools but also directly by parents and guardians, a move designed to ensure that more talented individuals, regardless of their circumstances, have access to the platform.

According to the organisers, InterswitchSPAK has evolved beyond a conventional academic contest into a credible platform that shapes students’ academic and career trajectories.
