The Federal Ministry of Education has trained 518 young Nigerians in Information and Cybersecurity as part of the Cyber 30-30 project launched in Abuja.

The program provided 418 with successful certifications, covering eight key areas such as Ethical Hacking and Digital Forensics.

National Project Coordinator Mrs. Blessing Ogwu, represented by Prof. Ndem Ndiyo, emphasized that the initiative also includes global partnerships with India, Zambia, and Rwanda for specialized internships, enhancing trainees’ global perspectives and career prospects.

Yeshua Russel, Team Leader, commended the program’s potential to open new opportunities, while trainees like Roy Linus and Amina Musa praised its impact on their skills and knowledge. The broader Digital Skills Training initiative aims to train 300,000 cybersecurity professionals by 2030, marking a major step in advancing Nigeria’s digital education landscape.
