Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, announced that the university has earned over N1.5 million from vegetable sales in just three months.
She made this announcement during the recent presentation of the organizational review report at the Senate chambers in Igbariam.
Professor Omenugha emphasized the university’s vision to become a leading educational institution in the South East, Nigeria, and beyond. She also highlighted the institution’s commitment to exploring additional income-generating opportunities, especially in agriculture.
In her remarks about the TETFUND Institution-Based Research (IBR) programme, Professor Omenugha encouraged recipients to aim for publication in prestigious global journals. She reiterated her commitment to improving staff welfare while ensuring effective job performance and adherence to regulations.
