The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has initiated a comprehensive capacity development program for 341 Unit and Outpost Commanders, focusing on traffic enforcement, road safety education, data analysis, leadership, and digital literacy. Held at the FRSC Academy in Udi, Enugu State, this program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of key personnel who play a crucial role in enforcing traffic rules and advancing the FRSC’s mandate.

Assistant Corps Marshal Hyginus Omeje, representing Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, emphasized the importance of these Commanders in achieving road safety goals and advancing the Corps’ objectives. He highlighted the program’s alignment with the Corps’ strategic vision of fostering growth, innovation, and excellence across its field commands.

The training will include both theoretical and practical sessions, with contributions from both local and international experts. The Corps Marshal encouraged Commanders to utilize technological tools such as the FRSC Mobile Application and the National Crash Information Recording System Portal to enhance efficiency and public engagement. This initiative follows the recent training of Road Marshal Operatives at the FRSC’s Shendam, Plateau State facility.
