Heirs Insurance Group has awarded N8 million in scholarships to winners of its 2024 Essay Championship, celebrating the top three finalists at a grand event held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

Hephzibah Chidi from Seacrest Preparatory in Rivers State took first place, earning a N5 million scholarship, while her school was granted N1 million for an educational project.

Pemisire Owolabi from Quest College, Oyo State, and Mariam Raheem from Isador Model School, Lagos State, secured second and third places with scholarships of N2 million and N1 million, respectively. The competition, which saw nearly 5,000 participants from junior secondary schools nationwide, aims to promote education and financial literacy.

Niyi Onifade, MD/CEO of Heirs Life Assurance, emphasized the importance of education as a catalyst for financial empowerment, commending the creativity and critical thinking of the students. Deloitte & Touche ensured the evaluation process was fair and transparent.
