The Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan has ordered the remand of three students from Iseyin College of Health Science and Technology for allegedly causing the death of their 16-year-old colleague, Eniola Ismail.
The accused, Shodimu Halima (18), Agbedun Zainab (23), and Olaleye Oladunni (23), are facing charges of conspiracy and murder.
Magistrate M. Mudashiru, citing lack of jurisdiction, ordered their remand at Agodi Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution. The case was adjourned to December 30 for further mention.
The prosecution revealed that the defendants allegedly beat the deceased on July 29. After returning home, Ismail complained of body pains and later died. The charges were filed under the Oyo State Criminal Code.
