The Oyo State Government has prohibited headteachers and teachers from holding meetings during school hours, whether within or outside public school premises.

Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), made the announcement while monitoring school resumption in Ibadan.

Adeniran emphasized that the ban aims to enforce adherence to the unified school timetable across all public schools in the state. He warned that any headteacher found violating this directive would face strict disciplinary action.

He also urged unions and associations in the basic education sector to comply with the policy and instructed Education Secretaries to inform all headteachers of the new directive.
