The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of TETFund, Aminu Bello Masari, has announced plans to introduce a new intervention aimed at tackling security and power challenges in Nigerian higher education institutions.

Speaking at a recent retreat organized by the National Assembly in Lagos, Masari highlighted the impact of these issues on the safety and academic performance of students and staff.

Masari stressed the need for increased funding in education, calling on the National Assembly to reevaluate the funding structure for public institutions, which serve over 90% of Nigeria’s tertiary students.

He emphasized that education is critical to national progress and requires sustainable financing models.
