The Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Professor Oluwole Sikiru Banjo, has appealed to the Ogun State government to increase its subvention to address funding challenges.

Speaking at the university’s 16th convocation ceremony, he emphasized the need for improved funding to enhance facilities, research, and technology, while also calling on stakeholders for additional support.

Banjo highlighted key achievements during his tenure, including the introduction of seven new academic programs, completion of major projects like the Science Laboratory Complex and Health Centre extension, and the installation of an Independent Power Project. He also celebrated 32 first-class graduates, with Abdulateef Adedamola Adedeji emerging as the best student with a CGPA of 4.91.

Pro-Chancellor Professor Rahamon Bello joined the call for increased subvention, citing the need to address the recently approved minimum wage.
