The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has appointed Chief James Ume as its national patron, recognizing his outstanding contributions to polytechnic education and youth development. The appointment was made during the association’s national convention in Minna, Niger State.

In a statement, NAPS National President, Comrade Oyewumi Festus, described Ume’s appointment as a testament to his dedication to education and philanthropy. He highlighted Ume’s impact through initiatives like the Unubiko Foundation, which has supported numerous students in their academic pursuits.
