Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has appointed Prof. Medinat Folorunsho Salman as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the newly established Kwara State University of Education (KWSUED) in Ilorin.

Prof. Salman, a distinguished mathematics education scholar, previously served as a senior lecturer and coordinator of the Educational Technology Centre at the University of Ilorin. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ahmadu Bello University, a Master’s in Mathematics Education, and a doctoral degree in the same field, all from the University of Ilorin.

Notably, she is the first female professor from Ilorin Emirate and focuses her research on mathematics education, gender issues in the field, and innovative approaches in education within developing countries. The appointment takes effect immediately, as confirmed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.
