In a remarkable show of compassion and commitment to student welfare, former President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Senate, Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE), has launched the BAKITARIAN Campus Food Support (BCFS) initiative. The program aims to provide essential food items to students across Nigeria, beginning with the College of Health Technology, Akure (CHTA), to help ease the economic burdens faced by students.

The initiative, held in honor of Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), Minister of Interior, was conceived to celebrate his contributions to public service and humanity. During the outreach, over 200 packs of noodles were distributed to students through the Students’ Union Government (SUG), ensuring that beneficiaries received direct support to complement their studies.

Speaking on the occasion, Akinteye emphasized that the BAKITARIAN Campus Food Support represents more than a donation—it is a tangible demonstration of care, aimed at empowering students to thrive academically and socially despite economic challenges. He praised the minister for his exemplary service and expressed hope that the initiative would inspire more acts of humanitarian service and student-focused interventions nationwide.

The BCFS program is designed as a long-term effort to uplift Nigerian students, with plans to extend the initiative to additional campuses across the country in the coming months. Akinteye reaffirmed his commitment to championing causes that promote student welfare, self-reliance, and social responsibility, urging students to stay focused on their education while benefiting from the support provided.
