The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips in preparation for the exercise.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board emphasised the importance of the slip as it contains vital details, including each candidate’s examination date, venue, and time.

The UTME is scheduled to commence on April 16 and will be conducted across more than 900 computer-based test centres nationwide.

JAMB advised candidates to print their slips early via its official website, https://www.jamb.gov.ng, by clicking on the “2026 UTME Slip Printing” link. According to the board, early printing will allow candidates to familiarise themselves with their assigned centres and avoid last-minute challenges.

The board noted that the examination will span several days, with each candidate assigned a specific schedule as indicated on the notification slip. Candidates are therefore expected to arrive at their designated centres well ahead of time to complete necessary screening and accreditation procedures before the examination begins.

JAMB also disclosed that enhanced security measures have been put in place for this year’s examination to curb malpractice. It warned both candidates and centre operators to refrain from any form of misconduct, stressing that strict sanctions would be enforced against violators.
