In a move aimed at bolstering educational leadership and fostering academic excellence, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has appointed Justina Anyadiegwu as the new Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
The announcement of Ms. Anyadiegwu’s appointment was made by the governor’s media aide, Christian Aburime, during a press briefing held on Tuesday in Awka. Ms. Anyadiegwu assumes the role following the tenure of Ifeyinwa Osegbo at the esteemed institution, which boasts a 48-year legacy of academic excellence.
According to Aburime, the newly appointed Provost brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having served as a senior lecturer at the college for over 18 years. Her extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. in English/Language Arts/Teacher Education from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, underscoring her prowess as a distinguished scholar and educator.
Furthermore, Ms. Anyadiegwu’s contributions to the educational landscape extend beyond the confines of the college. She has served as a consultant-trainer with the British Council, Nigeria, demonstrating her proficiency and recognition in the field of education.
Aburime emphasized that Ms. Anyadiegwu’s appointment aligns with Governor Soludo’s commitment to promoting meritocracy and advancing the growth and development of educational institutions across the state. The governor expressed his confidence in Ms. Anyadiegwu’s ability to lead the college with distinction and wished her success in her new role.
