The Federal University of Agriculture in Basambiri, Nembe Local Government Area, is set to launch soon as renovation work nears completion on this landmark federal project. During a recent visit, Pro-Chancellor Senator John Brambaifa and Vice Chancellor Prof. Reginald Keremah updated stakeholders on the university’s progress.

Prior to the visit, the governing council held a crucial meeting with Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri, discussing key steps for the university’s commencement. Prof. Keremah reported that the governor expressed full support for the timely establishment of the institution, which aims to be a leading hub for agricultural education and research.

Governor Diri emphasized the university’s importance to the state’s development, highlighting its potential to drive agricultural innovation and enhance economic growth. The governing council’s inaugural meeting addressed immediate challenges such as infrastructure, staffing, and community engagement.
