Vice Chancellor of OUASTECH, Prof. Temi E Ologunorisa highlighted the need for improved infrastructure at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology ,OAUSTECH to accommodate the growing student population, noting that the institution has become a popular choice for admission seekers in Nigeria.

He called on the committee to advocate for the swift completion of the Maritime Academy under construction at Ugbo-Nla by Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Developmnet Commission, OSOPADEC.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the governor for timely payment of monthly subventions and wage awards, while requesting the release of the N1 billion allocated in the 2024 budget to finish the long-abandoned School of Science Building. He also urged for intervention in the stalled projects managed by NDDC and OSOPADEC, particularly emphasizing the need for the contractor on the 2.5 km road project to return to site.

Committee chairman Chris Ayebusiwa praised Ologunorisa’s efforts at the university and assured that steps would be taken to complete the outstanding OSOPADEC and NDDC projects. Committee member Messiah Oluwatoyin pledged to encourage the governor to ensure the Maritime Academy at Ugbo-Nla is completed promptly.
