Notable schools such as Peter Harvard and Seed of Glory in Kubwa, Abuja, welcomed students back as scheduled. This return to school marks a new academic year despite ongoing challenges.

In Edo State, however, the government has indefinitely postponed the resumption of all schools due to the recent fuel price hike, which has intensified financial pressures on families. The resumption, originally set for September 9, will be delayed until further notice, with authorities advising parents to keep a close watch on their children during this period.

Kano State also announced a postponement of its school resumption, citing urgent reasons for the delay. Delta State has adjusted resumption dates in specific areas due to the National Youth Games, extending the start of the school year for some regions.
